Help & FAQ
Your data
Where are my invoices stored?
Only in your browser (localStorage) on this device. Nothing is sent to our servers — we don't have any. Clearing your browser data deletes them, so export a backup regularly (Settings → Your data → Export backup).
How do I move to another computer or browser?
On the old device: Settings → Export backup (JSON). On the new device: open DueKindly → Settings → Import backup and choose the file. Then enter your license key again.
Does it work offline?
Yes. After the first visit the app works without internet. Only license checks and checkout need a connection. If you're offline for a while, Pro stays on for 14 days after the last successful check.
Reminders
Does DueKindly send emails for me?
No — “Open in email” opens your own email app with the reminder ready, or use “Copy”. The email comes from your address. Then click “Mark as sent”.
Clicking “Open in email” does nothing
Your computer may not have a default email app. Use Copy and paste into Gmail/Outlook in the browser, or set a default email app in your system settings.
How do calendar reminders work?
On an invoice press “Add reminders to calendar (.ics)” and open the downloaded file. Google Calendar: Settings → Import & export → Import. Apple Calendar and Outlook open it with a double-click. Each event links back to the invoice.
Pro, billing and license
Where do I enter my license key?
Settings → License → paste the key → Activate Pro. The key is on the checkout confirmation page and in your purchase email.
I lost my license key
Open Lemon Squeezy “My Orders” and sign in with the email you used at checkout — the key is shown there and can be re-sent.
How do I cancel or change my card?
In My Orders (link also in your receipt email). After cancellation Pro stays active until the end of the paid period. Your invoices are never deleted.
Refunds
If DueKindly Pro isn't right for you, contact us within 14 days of payment for a full refund.
“Couldn't reach the license server”
Check your internet connection, disable aggressive privacy extensions for this site and try again. If it keeps failing, contact us — we'll sort it out.
Late fees
Can I charge late fees?
For business-to-business invoices in the UK (Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998) and the EU (Directive 2011/7/EU) you can usually claim interest and fixed compensation. DueKindly's calculation is an estimate, not legal advice. Use the free calculator.
